About MetricsMap
Teams use the same KPI names — and often mean different things. Definitions live in dashboards, spreadsheets, docs, or simply in people's heads. MetricsMap, the shared catalog for KPIs and data models, exists to fix exactly that: definitions that are easy to find, easy to understand, and actually useful in day-to-day work.
Why I'm building this
Working with data teams — in consulting and in-house — I kept running into the same thing: the same KPI names meaning different things, with the real definitions scattered across dashboards, spreadsheets, docs and people's heads.
MetricsMap grew out of that everyday frustration. The goal is simple: make data definitions easy to find, easy to understand, and actually useful day to day.
What we stand for
Metadata-only
We store what your metrics mean — never the raw data behind them. Your numbers stay in your systems.
Traceable by design
Every definition carries its context: owner, status, formula and the trail down to tables and fields.
Built for the whole team
Definitions belong to the team — not buried in one person's spreadsheet or head.
